Hundreds of red-clad local schoolchildren and others marched through downtown San Clemente on Monday afternoon to show their support for drug-free living.
The annual Red Ribbon Parade was an observance of Red Ribbon Week, a national effort to promote a healthy lifestyle. The parade theme was "Keep the Pieces of Your Life Together."

Selma's Chicago Pizzeria, 218 Avenida Del Mar, is serving free spaghetti to children 12 and younger who wear wristbands commemorating the week. FedEx Office, 231 Avenida Del Mar, is offering schools half price on select banners, plus 20 percent off student printing through October.
