VA Hudson Valley Health Care System Earns National Recognition ...

Montrose, NY/Castle Point, NY?VA Hudson Valley Health Care System (VA HVHCS) is one of 620 hospitals in the U.S. earning the distinction of Top Performer on Key Quality Measures for attaining and sustaining excellence in accountability measure performance by The Joint Commission, a leading independent accreditation agency of hospitals. The ratings are based on an aggregation of accountability measure data reported to The Joint Commission during the 2011 calendar year.

The annual report, which can be found here,?summarizes the performance of more than 3,300 Joint Commission accredited hospitals on 45 accountability measures of evidence-based care processes closely linked to positive patient outcomes.

The VA HVHCS serves Veterans? health care needs at two main campuses, Montrose and Castle Point, as well as seven Community Based Outpatient Clinics based throughout the counties in the Hudson Valley area.
