Death ? What I Want vs. What I Need

If you or a loved one is a terminal diagnosis has been given, is necessarily a life sentence? What do you want in the last couple of months or years to your life? You have the right to ask, and yes, the question will be given you what you want, how you make this transition from this plane of existence into the next?

In many institutions and health care facilities or even within the patient's home, care plans developed for drug-list and conditionsdirected. Rarely mention it, the patent desires, needs and dreams for a good death.

It is important to plan treatment in addition to a care plan have. In a treatment plan, you will be so many dreams, desires, needs and requests of the patient as possible, so that they can have "a good death."

Wishes and needs

One of my mother's wish for his recent "I Want List" was to be buried with his mouth full of chocolate covered raisins. Theysaid he wanted to wake up the morning of the resurrection were the chin with chocolate! The nurse was startled, said the undertaker, that no one ever asked such a thing, but we were persistent.

If it is your wish or desire of a loved one is to visit a tropical island that can be made. Is perhaps the real flight and avoid all the problems the real journey, but you can play music, hula, put some "posters and wearing a lei. This leads to deathPerson a sense of control and choice over their own transition from one sphere of life to another.

What would you like if you could? What do you want? What are the types of music are you listening? The smells that you want to smell again? The old friend you want to visit again? Ask what makes you happy, not just comfortable.

Choices and Voices

Everyone feels more power if we have a voice and a choice of ourLife and death instead. Each time a patient asked, "What do you want?" will result in more cooperation and satisfaction.

How old employee who helps people write their memoirs, life stories and reviews can be of life, I say that people want to die knowing that their life has meaning and that they remain a valuable part of society and in memory. Interact with each other and share our thoughts, dreams, wishes, and we believe that the weak linkcommunity care.

Individual rights are still in force

No matter how sick, old or ill we have become, we still have the rights of individuals and should be treated with respect and care. Claiming that a lawyer or a family member or carer, what they want and need to make more sense this transition, we have the right to expect, our wishes have been fulfilled.

Good luck and God bless your journey
