Arcades have many popular table games that people can play. Some have made their way to cell phones and pocket or home PC. So, to enjoy the games a person does not have to leave their home. Wealthy people also have some of them in their homes.

Popular card games include bridge, poker, Go Fish and Old Maid. The first ones adults commonly play and the last two children like. However, the entire family enjoys these pastime. Any of the card games played at the casinos like Blackjack, people play at home.

People play table tennis on an area that looks like a mini tennis court. Instead of using paddles, players hit a tiny white ball not made from rubber. The goal is to reach fifteen points. The first person to do that wins. Two or four people play ping-pong together. This is a favorite among teens.

Monopoly and Life are strategy contest in which each participant chooses an object that moves a certain number of spaces depending on the number the player rolls or spins. Players use a painted board with spaces and make investments that make them obtain the most money and win the game. Investing in houses and properties is the main object of Monopoly. In the game of Life making good decisions in many areas of life is the focus.

People purchase air hockey tables more often these days. It is a game that only two people at a time play. A puck moves around the field. The object is to keep the puck in play and not in the hole of your opponent. The rules say you can choose what number to play to usually twenty. Individuals play it like ice hockey and/or field hockey. Tweens and teens love to play this game.

Pinball is an individual game where a player tries to outmaneuver the machine that produces the balls to play it. Pinball usually is in an arcade or restaurant not in a private home. The score shows how hits and bonuses a player has. It has lots of bells and whistles that let the person know that they have scored.

Often, billiards involves luck and people gamble over who will win. Gambling is not necessary but many people use it to make the game more interesting. Players can gamble on all the listed games. However, foosball and billiards are the most likely to lead to this practice.
