printerPrint??|?New York, NY, June 22, 2011 ? In today?s competitive business climate, companies need sustainable, affordable solutions that deliver a return on investment now and in the years to come. Time and time again, Taridium, a global leader in open standards enterprise VoIP solutions, answers that growing demand and has recently announced yet another opportunity for business owners to save thousands of dollars in call charges while improving communication efficiencies via system interconnects. The software company has unveiled the updated Taridium ipbx? 2.3 Enterprise VoIP PBX Phone System, which includes new, sophisticated features designed to optimize communication management.

?We?ve incorporated the best of our initial version and packed even more progressive yet highly practical features into this latest update, making it a powerful product for audiences everywhere,? says Dominique Kull, Taridium?s CTO. ?Already, companies of all sizes and types located throughout the world have discovered the dynamic difference of ipbx. Replacing traditional hardware-based PBX systems, ipbx runs on standard server hardware but doesn?t require additional licenses, saving customers money both at the point of purchase and with future expansion.?

The ipbx 2.3 debuting features include a web-based operator console, an easy-to-use yet high-level web-driven operator console for managing all inbound and outbound calls. The console offers visual-call parking, simultaneously handling up to four calls, and transfers callers to voicemail or an associated mobile phone number. Using a preferred web browser, the console can pick up ringing extensions or transfer callers to call groups, queues, IVRs or another number. Another ipbx addition is the outbound dialer, a tool that delivers messages and alerts to customers, or easily connects them to call queues or call groups. Finally, understanding the importance of privacy in telecommunications today, Taridium offers optional encrypted communication, providing peace-of-mind with end-to-end security for maximum privacy.

Of note, ipbx 2.3 is licensed on a per-user basis, applying to actual users, voicemail boxes and phones. All purchased licenses include one year of support and maintenance via e-mail, plus feature upgrades when available. The ipbx is available in an eXpress edition, which is free for five or fewer users, $199 for up to 30 users, $269 for up to 60 users, and $349 for up to 100 users. The unlimited-user version starts at $499. The product is available in two formats: as a downloadable ISO disc image or as RedHat 5 RPM packages.
